The problem relates to devices that have been "restored" from another device profile via iTunes/iCloud. The current TPControl build does not fully recover from this, inhibiting registration. If you uninstall TPControl from the device and reinstall from the AppStore, the device will then register correctly.
If you are using a token that was previously registered to another device, you will need to deauthorize the token first.
