File retrieval from TPControl is not supported/implemented particularly because the TP4 file(s) stored on the device are altered specifically for use with TPControl, and will also have been renamed i.e. it is not the exact TP4 file originally created in AMX TPDesign4.


However, with iOS devices it is possible. You will need to use an application that allows access to the iOS devices file system. The app we use is called iMazing. You can find their app at imazing.com. Apple restricted direct access to the file system from iOS8. If your device is installed with iOS8 and above. Create a backup of the device in iMazing, then try to access the file system from the backup.


The file can be found under filepath File System/Apps/AppDomain-com.webdevs.tpcontrol/Documents/Slot1. The file will be named with a random set of numbers, but will have the .tp4 file extension. 


If you are successful in retrieving the file, do not make and save any changes within TPDesign4 for that file - it will corrupt. Rather, you should be able to load the file in TPDesign4, but you will need to create a separate TP4 file and copy/paste pages and popups to the new file in order to re-create an editable version of the original TP4 file.
